what is The family support network (FSN) of Region A?

Family Support NetworkTM (FSN) of Region A is a parent-to-parent program serving families of children with special needs (physical, behavioral, medical, foster/adoptive, kinship) or health concerns. FSN serves Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Jackson, Macon, and Swain Counties and the Qualla Boundary (EBCI).

The program offers one-to-one matching of caregivers of children with special needs, support groups (Caregiver Connections), support parent coaching (Parent Mentor Orientation Training), education groups, information and resources, and a monthly newsletter.

There is no right or wrong time to reach out for support. Help can be provided at birth or at time of diagnosis, when dealing with education challenges, when planning your child’s future, when you are new to the community, at time of illness, crisis, or transition, or when you need to talk to someone who have “been there, done that” in your journey. When you are ready to reach out for support, Family Support Network of Region A is here to help. Free support for all ages.
