Early Care and Education Specialist

The Early Care and Education Specialist partners with early education providers and professionals to provide training, coaching, and technical assistance. 

 

The ECE Specialist will visit the facility staff to collaborate and plan together the best approach to support early education providers and professionals. 

​

The ECE Specialist offers: 
 

  • Site visits for observation and assessment of classroom structure and practices focusing on quality enhancement. 

  • Coaching with early care professionals focused on supporting targeted goals and implementation strategies. 

  • Support for early childhood educators with coordination of training, required classes, and other resources furthering the profession. 

  • Assist and train providers and professionals using the ITERS-3, ECERS-3, and/or FCCERS-3 Environmental Rating Scale tool to help childcare facilities obtain the highest rated license possible. 

  • In-person free training at your site’s convenience. Each training course is designed to be one-hour with flexibility for grouping topics based on a site’s needs for longer training sessions.   • Guest storytimes to model incorporating early literacy practices and skills into daily routines and to build rapport with early care and education practitioners.
